ich freue mich das mein blog in aller welt gelesen wird….und jetzt bekam ich folgenden kommentar :
Dear michis oldtimer blog,
I looked with interest at the „Les Catalogue des catalogue“ entry. However, my German is very poor.
I am a 1920’s French automobile enthusiast like yourself. I own a 1926 Th. Schneider.
I wondered if this catalogue is yours and if it has any information on the Th. Schneider marque?
Any assistance you can give I would appreciate.
Regards
Marc (from Australia)

It is a 1926. In the UK they were sold as the 13/55 „Le Mans“ model. In France known officially as the „25SP“ or „12CV super sport“. They had an pushrod operated OHV 2 litre engine and one was timed at 140KPH past the pits at Le Mans in 1926. However, not to be recommended for prolonged periods.
Attached is period publicity, a shot at 1926 Le Mans

and another of my car.

Th. Schneider (F) 1910-1931
Automobiles Th. Schneider, Besancon, Doubs: Boulogne-sur-Seine
Theophile Schneider had been one of the founders of Rochet-Scheinder before he started making cars on his own account. These were conventional enough, with their 4- or 6-cylinder sv engines and shaft drive. The only feature not shared by a majority of French cars was the dashboard radiators. In spite of the conservatism, Th. Schneider competed energetically in first-class racing, taking part in the Coupe de L’Auto race, the French Grand Prix, the Belgian Grand Prix in 1912, and the French Grand Prix in the two succeeding years; but because of conservatism, perhaps, it was without success. In 1914, seven 4-cylinder models, from 1.8 to 6.1 litres, were offered, as well as a 3.2 litre six.
The same policy was followed after World War 1: The manufacture of conventional, strong motor cars with a high turn of speed, thought now with frontal V-radiators. The basically pre-war 14CV was offered in 4- and 6-cylinder form from 1919 to 1923, there was a light car, the 1170cc VL (voiture legere) from 1926. The most exciting and best known Th. Schneider was the 10CV, introduced in 1922, an sv 2-litre fast tourer in the best French tradition. By 1925 it had acquired ohv and front-wheel brakes, and survived until end of car manufacture. The VL was also sold in ohv form by 1927. These were the longest-lived and the most popular models in a complex range.Taken from “The Complete Encyclopaedia of Motorcars” editored by G.N.GEORGANO
